My Philosophy

My job is to identify asymmetrical risk vs reward opportunities in the stock market with favorable characteristics and apply disciplined trade management, including position sizing and entry/exit strategies. The goal is to seek returns that align with the client's objectives and beat the benchmark.

In order to reach my goal of beating the benchmark return, I focus on timing entries into exchange traded funds (ETFs) and stocks that are members of the large cap S&P 500 index, and have also shown what I feel are excellent relative strength over the past year. I also look for emerging leaders in tech, AI, digital assets, and commodities. All of these candidates must have a good technical chart setup. As a lifelong student of technical analysis (using trendlines, cycles, bull/bear sentiment, momentum indicators, and price) I’ve come to understand that analyzing a stock chart does not tell you what is going to happen but it does provide a method for identifying favorable risk-reward opportunities. This approach aims to minimize potential losses if the outcome doesn't align as expected. Investing and trading is an exercise in probabilities, and I believe requires objectivity and discipline. I am religious about cutting losses quickly, since all large losses (which have devastating effects on portfolio returns) often started out as small ones.

Standard & Poor’s 500 (S&P 500) is an unmanaged group of securities considered to be representative of the stock market in general.  Indexes are unmanaged and do not incur management fees, costs, or expenses.  It is not possible to invest directly in an index

One of my primary goals is to develop a long-term, trusting relationship with you.
